Workshops, Lectures and Events for Companies and Organizations

Often, employees of various companies and organizations find themselves sitting, for long periods of time, in front of the computer or engaged in a singular activity that involves repetitive movements. It is well known that the Western Labor market statistics show increased numbers of employees on sick leave who suffer medical problems and pains that relate to posture and movement: back pains, neck and joint problems, eye disorders, general stress, etc. In my line of work, I have developed customized workshops that suit hi-tech companies, health organizations, etc. With a hi-tech company named Prolog, for example, I took part in a large-scale project in which information and practical exercises were taught in order to improve the employee’s health and movement at the work place; I delivered workshops in which the principles of “dynamic sitting” were taught to physicians, nurses and other health-department administers. In an additional project, Feldenkrais lessons were given to Public Health nurses at the Dead Sea; to the salesperson of Oracle Israel, I delivered a workshop for improving posture and teaching an effective use of vocal registers; the employees of Triana had an experience day in which I demonstrated methods for improving movement while sitting in front of the computer and methods for relaxing physical tension during work.

Amongst the workshops I give, there are those that focus on relaxation and enhancing the body’s ability to rest; workshops to support correct back and neck movements; voice-oriented workshops for executives, lecturers, salespersons, singers and receptionists; and, dynamic-sitting workshops. Workshops can be delivered as a one-time event or spread over a number of consecutive sessions.
